The M9’s open-top slide design enhances reliability by reducing the chance of stovepipes and other feeding issues. Combined with the falling locking block, it delivers smooth cycling even under high round counts.
Its 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame keeps weight manageable while retaining strength. The hard-coat anodized finish pairs with the Bruniton-coated carbon steel slide to resist wear and harsh environments.
Ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker levers, a reversible magazine release, and a rounded external hammer make the pistol adaptable to right- or left-handed shooters. Fixed 3-dot sights are quick to acquire, with an integral front blade and drift-adjustable rear notch for precise zeroing.
The full-size grip houses a 15-round magazine and features checkered black polymer panels with Beretta medallions for a secure hold. A lanyard loop at the base of the frame offers additional retention options for duty use.
