The 4-inch, heavy round barrel with a full-length under-lug, smooth Miculek trigger, and gold-bead Patridge front sight make it a purpose-built revolver for rapid, accurate runs in ICORE, USPSA, or IDPA events. Factory laser-engraved JM branding and a matte bead-blast stainless finish complete a package that stands out both on the line and in a collection.

This 625-8 variant incorporates Smith & Wesson’s internal lock while retaining the proven N-frame strength and full-moon-clip system that defines the Model 625 line. Six rounds of .45 ACP ride in a recessed, matte bead-blast stainless cylinder, enabling rapid reloads straight from moon clips without moon-clip tools.
The 4-inch barrel is stainless steel, heavy-profile, full under-lug, and round to balance recoil control with fast transition speed. Top-rib serrations cut glare, aiding the gold-bead Patridge front sight and fully adjustable square-notch rear sight for a crisp sight picture under varying light.
Controls are tuned for competition. A smooth, wide 0.265" Miculek speed trigger delivers a consistent pull in both double- and single-action modes, while the target hammer offers positive thumb purchase. Smooth hardwood Miculek grips position the hand high on the backstrap, shortening the reach and promoting repeatable indexing.
Every exterior surface—including frame, cylinder, and barrel—wears a uniform matte bead-blast stainless finish. The sideplate carries the factory laser-engraved JM logo and lightning-bolt motif, marking its place in the Champion Series lineup straight from Smith & Wesson’s Springfield, Massachusetts facility.
