The Anschutz Modell Match 64 is a purpose-built .22 LR target rifle from the 1960s that earned a solid reputation in ISSF club and junior competition. The 64-series receiver measures 26 mm in diameter, shortening lock time and reducing overall weight compared with the larger 54 action, while still providing strong steel construction and a bolt handle root that locks directly into the receiver.
The heavy, 26-inch blued barrel promotes consistent vibration and heat management for match-length strings. Its 0.22-caliber chambering, combined with well-defined rifling, delivers the precision demanded in 50-meter smallbore competition.
An adjustable two-stage match trigger, factory-set well below 200 grams, lets shooters fine-tune pull weight and sear engagement to suit personal preference and rule requirements.
The walnut stock features a beavertail forend with a full-length aluminum rail for hand stops or bipods, a palm swell, and a Monte-Carlo comb. A 13.75-inch length of pull and rubber recoil pad enhance shooter comfort during extended practice sessions.
Integral 11 mm dovetails on the receiver allow easy mounting of optics or alternative sighting systems without additional bases, while the supplied aperture sights give precise windage and elevation adjustments. Proof marks from the Ulm proof house attest to West German manufacture and nitro proofing.
