Smith & Wesson Model 500 X-Frame Revolver, 8.38" Barrel, .500 S&W Magnum, Removable Compensator
The Smith & Wesson Model 500 is the company’s most powerful production revolver, built on the massive X-Frame to handle the high-pressure .500 S&W Magnum cartridge. This full-size stainless steel example features the factory Interchangeable Compensator system, an 8.38-inch ported barrel, and a five-shot fluted cylinder. Designed for maximum recoil management and durability, it is factory drilled and tapped for an optic and wears a Hogue rubber Monogrip for secure control.

What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolver with factory removable compensator
The 8.38-inch barrel combines a full-length under-lug with factory porting and a removable compensator, channeling muzzle blast forward to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise.
Built entirely from satin-finished stainless steel, the frame, cylinder, and barrel offer corrosion resistance and a non-glare surface—important when shooting in bright conditions.
The massive X-Frame absorbs the heavy recoil of .500 S&W Magnum. A five-shot fluted cylinder keeps the wall thickness generous for strength while trimming a bit of weight.
Sighting is handled by a black ramp front sight and a fully adjustable rear with a white-outline notch. For those who prefer optics, the topstrap comes factory drilled and tapped.
Controls include a smooth double-action/single-action trigger, checkered hammer spur, internal key lock, and hammer block safety. The Hogue rubber Monogrip provides a secure, recoil-dampening hold.
