Savage Arms AXIS II Precision .308 Win Bolt-Action Rifle – 22" Heavy Threaded Barrel, MDT Chassis, AccuTrigger
The AXIS II Precision brings Savage’s reliable bolt-action system into a purpose-built precision chassis. A 22-inch heavy carbon-steel barrel, user-adjustable AccuTrigger, and MDT-designed aluminum chassis combine to deliver repeatable accuracy in a package that accepts common AICS-pattern magazines. Factory upgrades like the 20-MOA Picatinny rail and adjustable stock features make this rifle ready for optics and fine-tuned shooter fit right out of the box.

What’s Included
- Savage Arms owner’s manual
- Magpul bipod (installed via M-LOK)
- MDT polymer AICS-pattern 10-round magazine
The MDT aluminum chassis gives the AXIS II Precision a rigid foundation. Flat Dark Earth polymer skins, a skeletonized design, and M-LOK slots along the fore-end keep weight reasonable while allowing accessory mounting.
Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter dial pull weight between roughly 2.5 and 6 lb while retaining an inner safety blade for confident handling.
The 22-inch heavy-contour barrel is button-rifled, finished in matte blued carbon steel, and factory-threaded 5/8-24 TPI for brakes or suppressors. A 1:10 twist rate stabilizes a broad range of .308 Win projectiles.
A factory-installed 20-MOA Picatinny rail simplifies mounting high-power optics and offers extra elevation travel for long-range work. The tang-mounted two-position safety keeps controls familiar and accessible.
Compatibility with AICS magazines, an AR-style polymer pistol grip, and adjustable length-of-pull and cheek riser settings give the rifle modern ergonomics and straightforward upgrade paths.
