Built by EBO in Greece on original HK G3 tooling, this SAR-8 Sporter is a limited-run, pre-ban import distributed by Springfield Armory between 1990 and 1994. It combines authentic G3 dimensional accuracy with a stamped steel receiver, roller-delayed action, and full parts interchangeability with HK91 components. Collectors prize these rifles for their scarcity, original weld pattern, and factory 18-inch barrel capped by a 22 mm flash hider.

This rifle retains the classic G3 profile, featuring a slim polymer handguard and phosphate/black enamel finish over its stamped steel receiver. The welds follow the original HK layout, preserving structural integrity and collector appeal.
The roller-delayed blowback system delivers smooth cycling with standard 7.62×51 NATO ammunition. A fluted chamber aids extraction, while the 18-inch barrel balances velocity and handling. The 22 mm flash hider also serves as a grenade spigot for users in jurisdictions where that feature is permitted.
Iron sights consist of a hooded front post and a four-position rotary diopter rear drum, providing precise elevation and windage adjustments. The included claw-style mount adds a NATO Picatinny rail for modern optics without altering the receiver.
The installed Magpul PRS2 stock offers tool-less length-of-pull and comb-height adjustments, paired with a rubber butt-pad for recoil mitigation. Combined with the walnut target grip, it creates a comfortable, ergonomic shooting platform.
