The heart of this rifle is LMT’s patented 16-inch chrome-lined, cryogenically treated barrel. The treatment relieves stress after machining, helping the barrel hold zero longer under sustained fire. The 1:10 right-hand twist stabilizes a wide range of 7.62 NATO bullet weights.
An MRP-H (Monolithic Rail Platform – Heavy) upper combines handguard and receiver into a single forged aluminum piece. This design eliminates barrel nut torque shifts and provides a continuous 19.25-inch top rail with M-LOK slots for solid accessory mounting.
Controls are updated for modern shooters: an ambidextrous paddle magazine release and a two-position selector make operation natural for both right- and left-handed users. The threaded muzzle is ready for brakes or suppressors.
The lower receiver and upper are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and protected by a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. A six-position collapsible polymer stock lets the shooter tailor length of pull, while the direct-impingement operating system keeps weight down without sacrificing reliability.
