Cugir GP WASR-10/63 7.62x39 AKM Rifle – 1986 Romanian Build, Chrome-Lined Barrel, Side-Rail
Built at the Cugir Arsenal in 1986, this GP WASR-10/63 pairs authentic Romanian military heritage with U.S. 922(r) compliance upgrades. A chrome-lined, hammer-forged barrel, matching triangle-arrow arsenal marks, and a left-side optic rail give it collector interest, while a TAPCO-style trigger and extended-tab safety improve day-to-day handling.

What’s Included
- Cugir GP WASR-10/63 7.62x39 rifle
- Magpul PMAG MOE AK 30-round polymer magazine
This WASR-10/63 uses a solid 16.25-inch chrome-lined, hammer-forged barrel fitted with a 14×1 LH threaded muzzle, bayonet lug, and thread protector—features rarely seen together on later commercial imports.
The stamped steel receiver carries the triangle-arrow Cugir arsenal mark and matching 1986 serial on both the receiver and rear sight block. Its no-dimple profile is characteristic of the WASR series, yet it reliably feeds standard double-stack AK magazines.
A Romanian laminated hardwood stock and palm-swell handguard preserve the md.63 aesthetic, while a U.S.-made black polymer pistol grip, TAPCO-style fire-control group, and red polymer extended-tab safety/selector bring the rifle into 922(r) compliance and improve ergonomics.
The left-side AKM optic rail accepts quick-detach mounts, and the iron sights retain the classic post front and tangent rear graduated from 100 to 1 000 m.
