Aero Precision X15 Gen 2 5.56mm NATO AR-15 Rifle – 16" Barrel, Free-Float M-LOK Handguard, Ambi Charging Handle
The Aero Precision X15 Gen 2 pairs the company’s forged 7075-T6 receivers with a 16-inch parkerized barrel, a 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard, and an ambidextrous extended charging handle. This example shows minimal use, retains its factory flip-up sights, and tips the scale at just under 7 pounds. Its Gen 2 lower features Aero’s nylon-tipped tension screw for a tight, rattle-free fit between the upper and lower, giving shooters a solid, precise feel.

What's Included
- Low-profile flip-up front sight (installed)
- Low-profile flip-up rear sight (installed)
- Ambidextrous extended charging handle with bronze/tan dual levers (installed)
- (1) 30-round curved aluminum AR-15/STANAG magazine
The Gen 2 lower is marked “MODEL X15 CAL MULTI” and incorporates Aero Precision’s nylon-tipped tension screw, allowing the user to eliminate any receiver play for a tighter lock-up.
The forged upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover, and a continuous 1913 top rail that lines up perfectly with the 15-inch free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard. Together they deliver a long, uninterrupted mounting surface for optics and accessories.
A 16-inch parkerized barrel with 1/2-28 muzzle threads wears an A2 birdcage flash suppressor and operates on a direct-impingement gas system. The barrel is chambered for 5.56mm NATO, allowing safe use of both 5.56 and .223 Remington ammunition.
The rifle’s controls are user-focused: an ambidextrous extended charging handle offers improved leverage, while the 6-position collapsible polymer stock and textured MOE-style grip provide a comfortable, adjustable shooting position. At approximately 6.9 pounds unloaded, the X15 remains easy to maneuver without sacrificing stability.
