Colt builds the Gold Cup National Match as a competition-ready 1911, and this Series 70 example retains the original firing system without a firing-pin safety, preserving the classic trigger feel. The wide three-hole aluminum trigger includes an adjustable over-travel screw for fine-tuning.
The slide features a flat-top serrated profile, rear cocking serrations, and a lowered and flared ejection port for reliable extraction. A blued finish on both frame and slide contrasts with the double-diamond checkered walnut grips, each inset with a gold Colt medallion.
Target accuracy comes from the 5-inch stainless National Match barrel and fully adjustable Colt-marked rear sight paired with a serrated ramp front sight. Manual thumb safety, grip safety, and a half-cock notch provide familiar 1911 security.
