Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker .280 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle, 22" Barrel, 1991 Japan-Made
This first-generation Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker pairs a weather-proof stainless/composite build with the uncommon .280 Remington chambering. Made by Miroku in 1991, it features Browning’s 60° bolt throw, patented detachable box magazine hidden inside a hinged floor-plate, and a gold Buckmark logo engraved on the plate. The rifle offers a rugged, lightweight package that’s ready for hunting in harsh conditions.

What’s Included
- Butler Creek padded nylon rifle sling (installed)
- Elastic buttstock ammo carrier (installed)
The .280 Remington chambering was offered in limited numbers during the early A-Bolt run, giving this rifle added appeal for shooters who favor a flat-shooting, versatile cartridge.
A matte stainless receiver and 22" sporter-contour barrel resist corrosion and wear, while the recessed crown protects the rifling in the field.
The composite stock keeps weight down and features molded checkering, aluminum bedding pillars, and factory QD swivel studs for quick sling attachment.
Browning’s hinged floor-plate conceals a detachable four-round magazine, allowing rapid reloads without sacrificing the classic floor-plate look.
Additional touches include the smooth 60° bolt lift for fast cycling, a top-tang sliding safety with bolt-unlock tab, and the factory gold Buckmark engraving that marks this rifle as a Browning original.
