The 12-2 variant carries forward the Airweight lineage originally developed for the U.S. Air Force M13 Aircrewman, but with a stronger steel cylinder for unrestricted .38 Special ammunition. This example retains that later steel cylinder while keeping the frame .08 inch thinner than a standard K-frame, adding comfort for concealed carry.
A pinned 2-inch barrel delivers classic snub-nose handling, while fixed sights—a serrated ramp front and square-notch rear—provide a snag-free profile. The external hammer supports both double-action and precise single-action fire.
Checkered walnut Magna service stocks give a traditional grip and contrast the deep factory bluing on the frame and cylinder. All markings remain crisp, and mechanical function is smooth and consistent.
With its lightweight construction, full six-shot capacity, and original factory packaging, this Model 12-2 offers a practical carry revolver with collector appeal.
