Norinco TT-Olympia .22 LR Target Pistol – 1980s Chinese Clone of the Walther Olympia
This Norinco TT-Olympia is a faithful, full-size reproduction of the 1936 Walther Olympia Hunter variant, built in China during the 1980s. Machined from forged carbon steel with a polished blued finish, it features a fixed barrel, frame weight system, and two-piece walnut target grips—all aimed at delivering steady balance for precision rimfire shooting. These pistols have not been imported into the United States since the 1994 trade restrictions, making surviving examples with matching slide and frame numbers desirable to shooters and collectors alike.

The TT-Olympia retains the Olympia’s signature fixed 4.65 in. barrel, complemented by an under-barrel counter weight to stabilize muzzle rise during slow-fire strings. Top serrations on the slide reduce glare under bright range lighting, helping the shooter maintain a clear sight picture.
A grooved target trigger and exposed spur hammer work with the single-action blowback system to deliver a crisp break and predictable reset. The thumb safety is placed on the left side, mirroring the original German layout.
Sights consist of a dovetailed ramp front blade and a square-notch rear that adjusts for both windage and elevation—an essential feature for fine-tuning point of impact with various .22 LR match loads.
The contoured walnut grips incorporate a palm swell and deep skip-line checkering, promoting a secure, repeatable hand position. Additional factory cuts on the frame allow the use of optional competition barrel weights for further customization.
