Built in 2023—the first year of production—this optics-ready variant pairs a 7075-T6 aluminum frame with a nitride-finished slide and a cold-hammer-forged bull barrel. A red fiber-optic front sight, aggressive checkering, and a factory-milled optic interface make this pistol immediately ready for precision work on the range or in defensive roles.

CZ engineered the Shadow 2 Compact to shed weight without sacrificing the low-recoil manners of its full-size sibling. The 7075-T6 aluminum frame and skeletonized half-spur hammer cut ounces while preserving the inside-frame slide rails that keep the bore axis low for faster follow-up shots.
The cold-hammer-forged 4-inch bull barrel locks up tightly for repeatable accuracy, and its high-carbon steel composition offers extended service life. Forward and rear cocking serrations, along with the black nitride slide finish, provide secure manipulation under any conditions.
This Optics-Ready model ships with a factory-milled slide cut that accepts CZ mounting plates, letting you add a mini-red-dot without machining. Until you do, the red fiber-optic front and fully adjustable rear iron sights furnish a crisp, fast sight picture.
Controls are competition-inspired yet carry-practical: an ambidextrous manual safety, hammer safety notch, and firing-pin block work with the smooth DA/SA trigger to balance security and shootability.
