The standout upgrade on this pistol is the Trijicon yellow-outline tritium front sight, giving bright day-time contrast and a clear night-time aim point without batteries. Paired with a low-snag square-notch rear, the sight picture is crisp in any light.
Springfield’s forged carbon-steel slide wears a matte black Melonite finish for deep corrosion resistance. Forward-raked front and rear serrations offer a positive grip for press-checks and manipulations, while a loaded-chamber indicator and striker-status indicator provide immediate visual and tactile status checks.
The 4.5-inch match-grade barrel is cold hammer forged and polygonally rifled for long service life and excellent accuracy. A 1:16 right-hand twist stabilizes standard and +P .45 ACP loads alike.
Ergonomics are flexible thanks to an interchangeable back-strap system and an ambidextrous push-button magazine release. The full-size polymer frame integrates a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for lights or lasers, making this pistol ready for duty or home defense roles.
