Colt Frontier Scout F-Series .22 LR Single-Action Revolver, 4.75" Barrel (1960)
Made in 1960, this Colt Frontier Scout F-Series revolver pairs a lightweight silver-gray alloy frame with a blued 4.75" carbon-steel barrel and cylinder, creating the classic Duotone finish collectors look for. Early F-Series production, a mid-range serial, and barrels cut on Colt Python machinery give this rimfire single-action added historical appeal while keeping weight low for comfortable handling.

What’s Included
- Colt Frontier Scout F-Series .22 LR revolver
Colt introduced the Frontier Scout in 1957 as a rimfire counterpart to the famed Single Action Army. This F-Series example was manufactured in 1960, placing it in the first full year of the updated alloy-frame design that reduced weight to approximately 24 oz.
The 4.75" carbon-steel barrel and six-shot cylinder wear a deep Colt blue, contrasted by the natural silver-gray anodized frame. This Duotone look became a defining trait of the Frontier Scout line and remains highly recognizable today.
Colt produced F-Series barrels on machinery normally reserved for the Python, resulting in precise machining and consistent rifling quality. Combined with the crisp single-action trigger, the revolver delivers solid accuracy from standard .22 LR loads.
Fixed sights include a ramped blade front and a top-strap groove rear, mirroring the classic SAA profile. Smooth walnut grip panels round out the period-correct appearance and feel.
