The Variant 7 LEM trigger delivers a consistent double-action-only pull of roughly 5 lb, followed by a short, positive reset that supports quick follow-up shots without the need for decocking. The bobbed, spurless hammer complements the DAO system and helps prevent snagging during concealed carry.
HK’s steel slide wears the company’s nitro-carburized “Hostile Environment” treatment for superior corrosion resistance. It has been professionally drilled and tapped for a micro-optic, giving the shooter the option to add a miniature red-dot without machining work.
The 4.25-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel uses HK’s polygonal rifling, enhancing gas seal and barrel life while simplifying cleaning. A built-in recoil-reduction buffer contributes to the USP line’s reputation for longevity and smooth cycling.
