This Japanese-built Weatherby Orion Sporting pairs classic walnut and blued steel with modern competition features. Forged by SKB during the respected 1981–2005 South Gate contract, it carries factory scroll engraving, a gold clay-target inlay, and a smooth, gold-plated single selective trigger. A ventilated rib, IMC screw-in choke system, and 2 3/4" chambers give clay shooters the adjustability they expect, while the cross-bolt locking action keeps lock-up solid round after round.

Built on a forged-steel receiver finished in satin nickel, the Orion Sporting features factory light scroll engraving accented by a gold clay-target inlay—details unique to the Sporting trim and executed entirely at the factory.
The 28" gloss-blued barrels wear a ventilated rib, mid-rib bead, and brass front bead for a clean sight picture. Weatherby’s IMC choke system is Win-Choke compatible, letting shooters tailor patterns quickly. Chambered for 2 3/4" shells, it is optimized for the vast majority of target and light field loads.
Controls are familiar and fast: a tang-mounted safety doubles as the barrel selector, and the gold-plated single selective trigger breaks crisply. A cross-bolt locking mechanism and full-length hinge pins deliver long-term durability under heavy round counts.
The gloss walnut stock offers a 14.25" length of pull, pistol grip, and schnabel forend, giving both comfort and secure handling. Combined with the shotgun’s balanced break-action design, it mounts naturally and swings smoothly on crossing targets.
