The Gen5 slide wears Glock’s proprietary black nDLC coating, providing enhanced hardness and corrosion resistance compared with earlier finishes. Deep rear serrations offer a positive grip when manipulating the slide in any weather.
At the heart of the pistol is the 4.49-inch Glock Marksman Barrel, featuring polygonal rifling and a recessed crown. This design delivers improved accuracy while maintaining the legendary reliability Glock barrels are known for.
Controls are fully ambidextrous thanks to dual slide-stop levers and a reversible, enlarged magazine catch. Combined with the flared magazine well and half-moon cut-out, the G17 Gen5 supports fast, consistent reloads from either hand.
Fixed metal sights pair a luminous front dot with a serrated square-notch rear, giving shooters a clear, daylight-bright sight picture without moving parts or batteries. An integrated accessory rail accepts lights or lasers for duty or home-defense roles.
