The Marlin Model 60W Sportsmanship Edition is a retailer-exclusive variant of the classic Model 60. Produced in 1996, this limited run adds a brass “Safety • Ethics • Sportsmanship” medallion in the stock, a gold-tone trigger, and the longer 22-inch Micro-Groove barrel that preceded the later 19-inch versions. With more than 11 million Model 60 rifles made, the Sportsmanship Edition remains a much scarcer find, making this example appealing to shooters and collectors alike.

This Sportsmanship Edition retains the original hardwood stock with its straight comb profile and factory-installed brass medallion. The walnut-tone finish pairs with a blued steel barrel and matte black alloy receiver for the classic Marlin look.
The 22-inch steel barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, delivering tight groups with standard .22 LR loads. An automatic last-shot bolt hold-open aids quick reloads, while the reliable blowback action feeds from the 15-round tubular magazine.
Sighting options include the factory serrated ramp front and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, plus the mounted Weaver 1.5–4.5×32 variable scope for precise target work. A factory scope rail on the receiver ensures solid optic attachment.
