Introduced in 2023, the OA Defense 2311 Compact blends classic 1911 single-action feel with a modern, double-stack grip that accepts SIG P320-pattern magazines. Its 4.25-inch barrel, fully ambidextrous controls, and optic-ready 17-4 stainless slide make this lightweight aluminum-framed pistol a practical, carry-sized option that still offers competition-grade features.

Built on a hardened 7075-T6 aluminum frame, the 2311 Compact weighs less while retaining rigidity for reliable lock-up and recoil control. The DLC-coated 17-4 stainless slide resists corrosion and offers front and rear serrations for confident manipulation.
The modular polymer grip accepts readily available SIG P320 double-stack magazines, giving shooters a familiar 1911 trigger and thumb safety with modern magazine capacity. An extended, reversible magazine release paddle is included for shooters who prefer a larger contact surface.
A flat-faced, skeletonized trigger with an over-travel stop delivers a crisp single-action break, while the skeletonized hammer speeds lock time. Fully ambidextrous thumb safeties and slide-stop controls support both right- and left-handed operation.
Out of the box the pistol is ready for optics with co-witness capability and ships with four mounting plates. Steel dovetail sights feature an orange fiber-optic front and a serrated Night Fision tritium rear for a bright, snag-free sight picture in all light conditions.
