The AK-V employs a straight blowback action tuned for reliable function with 9 mm Luger. A forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier add durability, while the stamped steel receiver is finished in matte black nitride/phosphate for corrosion resistance.
Midwest Industries’ aluminum skeleton stock folds to the left on an AK-100-style hinge and offers four length settings plus a rubber butt-pad. Folded length is approximately 27 inches, making storage and transport straightforward.
The 10.5-inch 4150 CMV barrel is nitrided inside and out, threaded 1/2-28, and currently wears a flash-can to direct blast forward. The original PSA two-port brake ships loose, giving the buyer options for recoil management.
A hinged, railed top-cover maintains zero when field-stripped and accepts red-dot optics without additional mounts. Standard AK front post and rear tangent notch sights provide back-up aiming.
Proprietary double-stack PSA U9 magazines lock the bolt open after the last round and feed reliably from a 35-round body, aligning with the AK-V’s PP-19-inspired design.
