JD Machine TR-1 Forged 7075-T6 AR-15 Lower & Stripped Upper Receiver Set – Discontinued California Production
This JD Machine TR-1 matched receiver set consists of a forged 7075-T6 lower receiver and its matching stripped upper receiver. Made in San Diego during the 2010s and now discontinued, both pieces share a matte black hard-coat anodized finish, laser-engraved top-rail T-marks, and factory color-filled SAFE/FIRE markings on the lower. The large red JD cross-hair logo and multi-caliber marking add collectability for shooters and brand enthusiasts alike.

This receiver is machined from U.S.-sourced 7075-T6 aluminum forgings, the material of choice for duty-grade AR-15s. The hard-coat anodized surface resists wear while keeping weight low.
Laser-engraved T-marks run the length of the top rail, making optic placement repeatable. Factory color-filled SAFE/FIRE markings provide quick visual confirmation of selector position.
JD Machine served as an OEM forging source for several premium AR brands. Their own TR-1 lowers are no longer in production, and California-made examples have become harder to find.
The multi-caliber roll mark accepts any standard AR-15 family cartridges when paired with the correct upper receiver, giving builders flexibility without extra paperwork.
