This St. Cloud–marked DPMS A-15 combines proven AR-15 reliability with features that were uncommon on entry-level carbines of its era. A factory free-float aluminum quad-rail handguard, threaded 16" 4140 chrome-moly barrel, and six-position Pardus stock give the rifle modern versatility, while dual .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO markings add ammunition flexibility. Built on a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver set, this pre-relocation example reflects DPMS’s original Minnesota production quality.

The 16" barrel is threaded 1/2-28 UNEF at the muzzle, ready for flash hiders, brakes, or suppressor mounts. Its 1:9 right-hand twist is optimized for 55- to 69-grain bullets, a common weight range for both training and defensive loads.
The free-float aluminum quad rail provides uninterrupted top rail space for optics and ample accessory mounting points on all four sides, enhancing configuration options without adding excessive weight.
A DPMS Pardus six-position collapsible stock, paired with an A2-pattern pistol grip, allows quick length-of-pull adjustments from 10.5" to fit a broad range of shooters and shooting positions.
The receiver set is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable matte black hard-coat anodizing. The lower’s St. Cloud roll mark identifies it as pre-2010 DPMS production, a detail many enthusiasts appreciate.
This rifle runs on a direct-impingement gas system, retaining the lightweight handling and parts compatibility that define the AR-15 platform.
