Product Description

    Remington Model 700 BDL .300 Win. Mag. Bolt-Action Rifle, 24" Hammer-Forged Barrel, 1987 Production

Built in 1987, this Remington Model 700 BDL pairs the company’s proven “three rings of steel” action with deluxe walnut furniture and a 24-inch hammer-forged barrel chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum. Factory gloss bluing, cut checkering, and period-correct white-line spacers give the rifle its classic BDL look, while a one-piece scope rail with quick-detach rings adds ready-to-use optics capability.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.
Specific Condition Notes: This rifle shows a few light scuffs from normal handling and use, and the factory rear sight leaf is not present. Otherwise, it remains in great shape overall.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

    What’s Included

    • Remington Model 700 BDL .300 Win. Mag. rifle
    • 1" quick-detach scope rings (installed)
    • One-piece scope rail (installed)

The heart of this rifle is Remington’s two-lug push-feed bolt with a jewelled body, delivering smooth cycling and reliable extraction. A Walker-pattern trigger and manual safety lever offer the familiar controls collectors expect from late-1980s Model 700 production.

The BDL-grade American walnut stock features a Monte Carlo comb, raised cheek-piece, black fore-end tip, white-line spacers, and cut diamond-point checkering for a secure grip. Sling-swivel studs are factory installed for easy field carry.

The 24" carbon-steel barrel sports a recessed crowned muzzle and a 1-in-10" twist suited to a wide range of .300 Win. Mag. bullet weights. Original iron-sight bases remain in place—ramp front with hood removed and rear base without the leaf—should you wish to restore open sights.

A gloss blued finish covers the receiver and barrel, matching the blued hinged-floorplate bottom metal that houses the three-round internal magazine. Barrel code “AM L3 ▵17” and serial number date to 1987, confirming its era-correct configuration.
