This Standard variant pairs a 16-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel with the platform’s hallmark top-feed, 50-round rotary magazine and fully ambidextrous controls. The downward-ejecting bullpup layout keeps overall length compact while preserving a full-length sight radius on the integral Picatinny rail. Made in FN’s Columbia, South Carolina facility, this carbine delivers low-recoil 5.7x28mm performance in a lightweight, glass-fiber reinforced polymer chassis.

The heart of this PS90 is its 16-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel, complete with an integral muzzle brake to manage muzzle rise. The barrel’s bore presents a mirror finish and sharp rifling, ready for precise performance with 5.7x28mm ammunition.
An aluminum-alloy receiver and full-length MIL-STD-1913 rail provide a rigid optic mounting platform, while flip-up backup iron sights keep the rifle ready if electronics fail. The downward-ejecting system clears spent cases away from the shooter and supports ambidextrous use.
Controls are mirrored on both sides: paddle magazine releases, charging handles, and a selector ring-style safety inside the trigger guard. Combined with the bullpup design, these features let left- or right-handed shooters run the carbine without modification.
The glass-fiber reinforced polymer stock is integral to the action, contributing to the rifle’s light overall weight and durability. Its thumb-hole grip and balanced center of gravity make shouldering quick and intuitive.
