Developed with Gunsite Academy to honor Jeff Cooper’s scout rifle concept, this 2019 Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle blends rugged stainless-steel construction with practical field features. A compact 16.1-inch threaded barrel, forward Picatinny rail, and controlled round-feed action make it ready for quick shots and straightforward accessorizing. Its adjustable black composite stock, ghost-ring sights, and detachable 10-round magazine round out a package designed for versatility and reliability.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent – Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Rifling Condition: Excellent – Sharp lands and grooves.

This stainless version of the Gunsite Scout uses Ruger’s controlled round-feed action with a Mauser-type full-length claw extractor, ensuring reliable feeding from its detachable AICS-pattern magazine. The 16.1-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and ships with a factory muzzle brake, giving shooters the option to mount a suppressor or other muzzle device.
A 6.625-inch forward Picatinny rail allows low-power optics or red dots to be mounted ahead of the action, while the protected blade front and fully adjustable ghost-ring rear sights provide fast backup aiming. The rifle’s paddle-style magazine release is easy to reach and operate from either side.
The black glass-filled nylon stock features an adjustable spacer system, textured grip panels, sling swivel studs, and a soft recoil pad. With a 13.25-inch length of pull and a right-hand 1:10 twist barrel, this scout rifle balances maneuverability with .308 Winchester power.
Finished in matte stainless from receiver to barrel, this Ruger is built to resist the elements whether on the range, in the field, or as a dependable part of a personal collection.
