Olympic Arms M.F.R. Pre-Ban AR-15 Rifle, 5.56 NATO, 20-Inch Chrome-Lined Barrel, CA-Prefix Lower
This Olympic Arms M.F.R. is a 1994 pre-ban AR-15 pattern rifle built on a CA-prefix lower produced just before the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. It retains its original slick-side upper, fixed carry handle, and Colt-marked chrome-lined barrel, offering collectors a scarce blend of Olympic manufacturing and Colt barrel heritage. With only about 690 CA-prefix lowers produced, this example combines limited production status with classic A1-style features.

The CA-prefix lower receiver confirms pre-ban status, making this rifle transferable in jurisdictions that restrict post-ban features. Serial 0112 sits within the limited 1994 production run, adding collectibility.
Olympic Arms fitted this rifle with a Colt “C M P C” marked 20-inch chrome-lined pencil barrel. The barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and capped with a standard A2 flash hider, giving owners flexibility for muzzle devices or suppressor mounts.
A slick-side upper deletes the forward assist and shell deflector, keeping the profile true to early AR-15s. Paired with A1-pattern rear sights, a triangular front sight base, and rifle-length round handguards, the rifle delivers classic handling and sighting characteristics.
The fixed polymer stock features a trap-door buttplate for small-parts storage. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches, matching original GI dimensions.
A checkered A1-pattern pistol grip completes the period-correct furniture.
Built on forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with hard-coat anodizing, this M.F.R. maintains compatibility with standard AR-15 parts and STANAG 4179 magazines while preserving the aesthetics of early-1990s production.
