Introduced as part of Winchester’s third-generation Super X line, the SX3 Waterfowl gained a reputation for some of the fastest cycling in its class. The gas-operated Active Valve system meters excess gas away, reducing felt recoil and keeping the action cleaner.
The 26-inch steel barrel is back-bored and chrome-lined to minimize pellet deformation and resist corrosion. It is paired with a vent rib topped by a fiber-optic front bead for quick target acquisition in low-light marsh settings. Standard Invector-Plus threading lets you swap chokes to match changing conditions.
An aluminum-alloy receiver, composite stock, and full camouflage treatment keep weight down while blending into reeds and timber. The stock’s Inflex recoil pad directs energy away from the cheek, helping maintain sight picture during rapid follow-ups.
Discontinued in 2018 and later succeeded by the SX4, the SX3 Waterfowl remains sought after for its Belgian build quality, 2 + 1 capacity, and ability to handle everything from light 2 ¾-inch loads up to heavy 3 ½-inch shells.
