Remington’s 11-48 uses a proven long-recoil system that reliably cycles 2 ¾" 16 gauge loads. This design was one of the first American sporting arms to incorporate extensive stamped-steel components, keeping weight manageable without sacrificing strength.
The 26" smooth-bore steel barrel wears an Improved Cylinder choke, offering a good balance for upland birds or buckshot. Unlike a rifled slug barrel, the bore is smooth, but the added adjustable rear sight and ramped front sight give a clear sight picture for slugs or shot.
All metal and wood surfaces carry a durable multi-tone foliage camouflage finish applied after factory assembly. Matching paint on the walnut stock and fore-end blends seamlessly with the aftermarket ventilated recoil pad and sling swivel studs.
Although the 11-48 normally holds four rounds in the magazine, the current setup is configured for a 2+1 capacity, aligning with many state hunting regulations. The 14.5" length of pull and cross-bolt safety provide familiar handling for most shooters.
