    What’s Included

    • Consecutively numbered pair of Colt Fourth-Model Derringer pistols
    • Colt faux-book presentation case with red velvet interior
    • Factory .22 caliber cleaning rod sealed in clear plastic tube

Colt subcontracted production of the First-Series Fourth-Model Derringer to Butler Manufacturing, resulting in approximately 112,000 pistols. This pair carries the early “N” suffix serial numbers unique to the run and retains the correct bright nickel finish with Colt “VP” proof marks.

Each pistol uses a right-hinge, tip-up barrel system for loading a single .22 Short round. The single-action mechanism is fired by a spur-type trigger and external hammer, maintaining the traditional derringer feel while offering modern post-war production quality.

The 2.5-inch barrel and frame are cast from Zamak zinc-alloy, finished in bright nickel for corrosion resistance and classic presentation. Smooth white synthetic grips complement the finish, while a fixed blade front sight provides simple aiming. No rear sight is fitted, as per original design.

Collectors will appreciate the original faux-book case that mimics a leather-bound volume; its red velvet interior securely holds both pistols and the factory cleaning rod, which remains sealed in its clear tube. The completeness of this limited-edition set supports its desirability among Colt enthusiasts.
