The Daniel Defense DDM4 MK12 combines Special Purpose Rifle heritage with modern Daniel Defense engineering. This factory-built variant features an 18-inch cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel, a Geissele SSA two-stage trigger, and a free-float DDM4 Rail 12.0 quad handguard, all finished in a uniform grey Type III hard-coat anodizing. Purpose-built for accuracy and reliability, it delivers the key elements collectors and serious shooters expect from an MK12-pattern AR-15.

Built around a 7075-T6 forged aluminum upper and lower, this MK12 variant retains the robust yet lightweight feel the platform is known for. Daniel Defense’s enlarged, flared magazine well speeds reloads without adding bulk, and the grey Type III hard-coat anodizing offers enhanced corrosion resistance.
The 18-inch stainless steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged, DLC-finished, and threaded 1/2-28 for the included improved 17-4 PH flash suppressor. Its medium contour and 1:7 RH twist are optimized for a wide range of 5.56 NATO loads, mirroring the original NSWC-Crane spec while benefiting from modern manufacturing.
A factory-installed Geissele SSA two-stage trigger delivers a clean break and predictable reset, giving the shooter precise control for distance work. The direct-impingement operating system maintains compatibility with standard AR-15 components and accessories.
The free-float DDM4 Rail 12.0 handguard secures with Daniel Defense’s proprietary 6-bolt Bolt-Up interface, providing 12 inches of uninterrupted Picatinny rail for optics, lights, and other mission-critical accessories. Soft-touch over-molded furniture, including a 6-position stock and Daniel Defense pistol grip, rounds out a rifle designed for extended time on the shoulder.
