Browning Gold 10 Field 10 Gauge Semi-Automatic Shotgun, 28" Barrel, 3.5" Chamber
The Browning Gold 10 Field is one of the few production 10-gauge semi-automatic shotguns, and this 1996 example pairs Browning’s self-regulating gas system with a lightweight aluminum receiver and composite furniture. A 28-inch vent-rib barrel with screw-in choke, 3.5-inch chamber, and reliable 2+1 magazine capacity make it a purpose-built choice for high-energy waterfowl and turkey loads while keeping overall weight manageable.

What’s Included
- Browning Gold 10 Field 10 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun
- 28" vent-rib barrel with installed screw-in choke
Introduced in the mid-1990s, the Gold 10 was Browning’s answer to hunters who wanted 10-gauge performance without the weight of earlier steel-framed guns. The NT date code on the receiver confirms 1996 manufacture, while the R91 suffix aligns with Browning’s Gold 10-gauge coding.
The gas-operated action self-regulates to cycle heavy 3.5-inch magnum shells, reducing felt recoil and keeping the bolt running clean. A 2+1 capacity meets most waterfowl regulations and balances well with the shotgun’s full-size profile.
The aluminum alloy receiver and matte-blued special-steel barrel keep weight down, and the black composite stock and fore-end stand up to wet field conditions. A ventilated recoil pad, sling swivel eyelets, and silver-colored bead front sight complete the field-ready package.
