What’s Included
- FN SCAR 17S NRCH rifle
- Four 20-round FN steel magazines
- Accessory rails (factory 12-inch Picatinny top rail and M-LOK handguard slots)
Developed from USSOCOM’s SCAR-H program, the NRCH (Non-Reciprocating Charging Handle) series replaces the original reciprocating handle with dual ambidextrous units that can be swapped to either side without tools. This change keeps the shooter’s support hand clear and eliminates the risk of snags during aggressive manipulation.
The rifle’s 16.25-inch cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel is free-floating for consistent accuracy and wears a three-port, two-chamber muzzle brake that noticeably tames recoil. A 1:12 right-hand twist stabilizes standard 147–175 gr 7.62 NATO loads.
An aftermarket aluminum handguard extends the monolithic top rail and adds M-LOK slots along the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for easy mounting of lights, bipods, or other accessories while maintaining the SCAR’s rigid, one-piece receiver interface.
The side-folding, six-position stock retains its height-adjustable cheek piece and keeps overall length between 36 and 38.5 inches. Combined with the 8-pound unloaded weight and short-stroke gas piston system, the platform remains compact, clean-running, and controllable.
Fully ambidextrous magazine release and safety levers round out a control scheme built for modern shooters, while included flip-up iron sights provide a dependable back-up aiming solution atop the uninterrupted top rail.
