This KP-9 is a U.S-manufactured clone of the Russian PP-19-01 Vityaz-SN, built on an AKM-style stamped-steel receiver and chambered for 9mm Luger. The familiar AK controls—including a paddle-style magazine release and standard safety selector—make operation intuitive for AK users.
The 9.25-inch 4140 chrome-lined barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and sports a 1:10 RH twist for optimal bullet stabilization. Chrome lining resists corrosion, while the thread pattern accepts common muzzle devices and suppressors.
An aftermarket SLR Rifleworks 6061-T6 aluminum handguard replaces the factory unit, giving the pistol a slim, free-float M-LOK interface for lights, grips, or lasers. Combined with the integral hinged top-cover rail and rear 1913 end-plate, the KP-9 offers multiple mounting points for optics and braces or stocks (where legally permitted).
Internally, the closed-bolt straight-blowback system provides simple, robust cycling with 9mm ammunition. Proprietary curved 30-round magazines feed reliably, and four are included to keep range time uninterrupted.
