What’s Included
- A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 12 Gauge side-by-side shotgun (serial-matching receiver, barrels, forend, and trigger guard)
This shotgun is built on Fox’s proven rotary-bolt action, known for its strength and tight lock-up. The automatic tang safety and double triggers remain intact, delivering the classic operation that Sterlingworths are appreciated for.
The 30-inch steel barrels wear their original blued finish and display the “FOX PROOF” hallmark. Fixed Modified and Full chokes provide a traditional field pattern well-suited for upland or waterfowl applications.
Walnut furniture features a pistol-grip stock and splinter forend, each checkered for a secure hold. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches to the aftermarket ventilated recoil pad, offering a slightly modernized shoulder feel without altering the shotgun’s vintage character.
Collectors value Philadelphia-made Sterlingworths for their craftsmanship and history. As one of the final runs before Savage Arms acquired the company, this example embodies the independent era of A.H. Fox Gun Co.
