Introduced in 1995, the P-11 was one of the first production pistols to merge a polymer grip frame with a double-stack 9mm magazine in a truly sub-compact package. Its 3.1-inch 4140 ordnance-steel barrel and blued slide keep overall length short while maintaining standard-pressure 9mm performance.
The internal-hammer, double-action-only trigger system provides a consistent ~9-pound pull on every shot, serving as a passive safety without external levers. With only 34 total parts (excluding magazine), field maintenance is straightforward, and the pistol disassembles into just six major component groups.
Fixed three-dot sights offer a familiar sight picture. Deep rear-slide grasping serrations aid manipulation, and the hard-anodized aluminum receiver adds rigidity beneath the polymer shell.
An added practicality of the P-11 line is its ability to accept higher-capacity Smith & Wesson 59-series magazines when used with adapter sleeves, giving owners flexible carry and range options.
