Ruger AR-556 MPR 5.56 NATO Semi-Automatic Rifle, 16" Threaded Barrel, Elite 452 Two-Stage Trigger, Matte Black
The AR-556 MPR (Multi-Purpose Rifle) refines Ruger’s direct-impingement platform with an upgraded trigger, lightweight free-float handguard, and mid-length gas system that softens recoil. Built in 2021, this example shows virtually no use and retains the factory-fresh look that collectors and shooters appreciate.

What’s Included
- Ruger factory cardboard box with SKU 08542 label
- Factory paperwork
- One 30-round Magpul PMAG polymer magazine
The cold-hammer-forged 16" 4140 steel barrel is threaded 1/2-28 TPI and fitted with Ruger’s radial-port muzzle brake for flatter shooting. A 1:8" right-hand twist stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights from 35 to 77 grains.
Ruger’s Lite 13.5" free-float M-LOK aluminum handguard reduces front-end weight while providing ample slots for accessories. A continuous Picatinny rail on top pairs with the A3-style flat-top receiver, so optics and backup sights mount without modification.
The mid-length gas system balances reliability with lower impulse, and the Ruger Elite 452 two-stage trigger breaks at approximately 4.5 lb for a clean, repeatable pull. Standard controls include a manual safety selector and textured B5 Systems Type P23 grip.
The six-position adjustable polymer stock allows quick length-of-pull adjustments to suit armor, clothing layers, or different shooters. The rifle ships with a 30-round Magpul PMAG, so it is range-ready out of the box.
