Daniel Defense DDM4 V11 LW 5.56mm AR-15 Rifle | Cold-Hammer-Forged 16-Inch Lightweight Barrel, 15-Inch KeyMod Rail
The DDM4 V11 LW blends Daniel Defense’s battle-proven DDM4 platform with a factory lightweight, cold-hammer-forged barrel and an early-generation 15-inch SLiM KeyMod rail. Built on 7075-T6 receivers and finished with a durable Type III hard-coat anodize, this Georgia-made rifle weighs less than comparable models while retaining the brand’s renowned reliability. The heart of this DDM4 V11 LW is its 16-inch 4150 CMV steel barrel. Daniel Defense cold-hammer forges and chrome lines the bore for extended service life and consistent accuracy. A lightweight profile reduces front-end mass without sacrificing rigidity, and 1/2x28 threads accept common muzzle devices.
The 15-inch SLiM Rail 15.0 handguard, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, delivers a full-length KeyMod interface while keeping weight to a minimum. Its slim outer diameter offers a comfortable grip and generous accessory real estate.
Upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and protected by a Type III hard-coat anodize in black. Controls are standard AR-15 layout with the addition of an extended bolt-release lever that speeds reloads.
A six-position collapsible stock and Daniel Defense rubber-overmold pistol grip give the rifle an adaptable, ergonomic feel. The direct-impingement action remains true to the AR-15 platform, while a 1:7 RH twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington projectiles.
