What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson SW40VE Sigma .40 S&W pistol
- One 14-round factory Smith & Wesson double-stack magazine
The SW40VE uses a striker-fired, double-action-only trigger system with internal striker and passive safeties, delivering a consistent pull on every shot without external levers to manipulate.
A reversible magazine release supports right- or left-handed operation, while the molded grip features checkered polymer panels that offer secure purchase without adding bulk.
The matte stainless slide carries rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation and houses a 4 inch stainless steel barrel. Fixed 3-dot sights are dovetailed front and rear for durability and straightforward target acquisition.
An integral 3-slot rail molded into the dust cover accepts lights or lasers, expanding the pistol’s defensive versatility. The frame is proudly marked "Capable of firing with magazine removed," underscoring the Sigma’s distinctive design and its place in the 1997 Glock v. Smith & Wesson patent dispute that shaped modern striker-fired pistols.
Magazines for the SW40VE interchange with later SD and SDVE series pistols, adding long-term support and accessory flexibility for owners.
