The SIX8-A5 uses LWRC’s proprietary enlarged upper and lower receivers, purpose-built for the 6.8 SPC II cartridge. This design provides proper feed geometry with the included Magpul SIX8 PMAG, enhancing reliability under rapid fire.
A cold-hammer-forged, Ni-Corr-treated 12.7" barrel delivers extended service life and corrosion resistance. Its spiral fluting cuts weight and promotes heat dissipation, while 5/8-24 threads allow easy suppressor or muzzle device installation.
The two-position adjustable short-stroke piston system keeps fouling out of the action and lets the shooter tune performance for suppressed or unsuppressed use. Combined with a 1:10 twist rate, the platform is optimized for common 6.8 bullet weights.
Fully ambidextrous controls—including safety selector, bolt catch, magazine release, and charging handle—let right- or left-handed users run the gun efficiently. All metal surfaces wear a durable Patriot Brown Cerakote over hard-coat anodizing for added protection and a distinctive look.
An LWRC 12" user-configurable aluminum rail offers ample M-LOK/rail space, and the pistol ships with LWRC Skirmish folding sights and an adjustable polymer brace that keeps overall length compact without sacrificing stability.
