Built from carbon steel and finished in brushed chrome, this Mark XIX balances rugged construction with an eye-catching appearance. Forward-slanted slide serrations aid manipulation, while the exposed serrated hammer and single-action trigger deliver a familiar 1911-style feel.
The 6-inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel features six-groove polygonal rifling and a 1:19 twist, optimizing it for the high-pressure .50 AE cartridge. Because the Mark XIX platform is caliber-convertible, owners can install other Desert Eagle barrels and bolts to run .44 Magnum or .357 Magnum.
Its gas-operated, short-stroke piston system with a two-lug rotating bolt reduces felt recoil and ensures reliable cycling with full-power loads. An ambidextrous manual safety/decocker and internal firing-pin block add redundancy without complicating handling.
Iron sights consist of a dovetail-mounted ramp front and a drift-adjustable rear, providing an 8.5-inch sight radius for precise shot placement. Textured polymer grip panels give a secure purchase; the included rubber finger-groove panel offers an alternative feel.
