Details
The 3.8-inch hammer-forged barrel is Melonite-treated inside and out for corrosion resistance and long service life. Match-grade chamber dimensions support excellent mechanical accuracy, while the 1:10 right-hand twist stabilizes a wide range of 9mm loads.
A forged steel slide finished in Black Melonite features deep front and rear serrations plus a visible/tactile loaded-chamber indicator. A striker-status indicator at the rear offers instant confirmation of cocked condition.
Safety is handled by Springfield’s triple passive system: grip safety, blade-style trigger safety, and internal striker block. Combined with a polymer frame and Mega-lock grip texture, the pistol delivers secure handling without adding manual levers to manipulate.
Ambidextrous magazine releases and three interchangeable back-straps adapt the XD(M) Compact to a wide range of hand sizes and shooting styles. An integral accessory rail accepts lights or lasers for low-light readiness.
