This M&P 22 Compact mirrors the size, grip angle, and control layout of the full-size M&P series, making it an intuitive training companion for center-fire shooters. At 85 percent scale, it balances easy handling with full-featured operation.
The aluminum-alloy slide wears Smith & Wesson’s corrosion-resistant Armornite finish and carries both front and rear serrations for straightforward manipulation. Its carbon-steel barrel is chambered in economical .22 LR, delivering low recoil and reduced operating cost.
Fully ambidextrous manual thumb safeties, a reversible magazine release, an internal firing-pin block, magazine disconnect, and an integral key-lock add layers of safety without altering the M&P’s familiar feel. An internal hammer and single-action blowback system ensure reliable cycling with standard-velocity ammunition.
The three-dot sight system includes a drift-adjustable rear sight that is user-adjustable for both windage and elevation, while the front blade carries a clear white dot for quick sight acquisition. A three-slot Picatinny rail ahead of the trigger guard accepts compact lights or lasers.
