Product Description

Winchester Model 1912 Standard Grade 12 Gauge Pump – 32" Nickel-Steel Barrel, Simmons Vent Rib, 1916 Production

Built in 1916, this Winchester Model 1912 combines early pre-1919 features with tasteful period upgrades. The Simmons aftermarket ventilated rib and 32-inch nickel-steel barrel give it the long sighting plane prized by trap and live-bird shooters, while the takedown design keeps transport simple. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel extension confirm factory pairing, and the stock has been professionally shortened and fitted with a red Winchester ventilated recoil pad for a 14.25-inch LOP.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair – Extensive signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Fair – Generally clean with some residue, smudges, and slight corrosion.

Specific Condition Notes: The walnut buttstock shows a chip at the toe along with scattered scratches and handling marks.

    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1912 Standard Grade 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun

The 32-inch barrel is fixed with an Improved Modified (IM) choke, adding reach for clays or field work while still accommodating modern 2 3/4-inch shells. Its nickel-steel construction, marked “Nickel Steel – Mod. 1912,” reflects Winchester’s early commitment to high-strength alloys.

A Simmons ventilated rib was professionally installed, improving heat dissipation and providing a flat, glare-free sighting plane to the orange front bead. Combined with the slam-fire capable action, the gun offers the fast follow-up shots that made early Model 1912s famous on trap lines.

The walnut furniture retains the classic 14-groove, diamond-checkered fore-end. The buttstock was shortened slightly and capped with a period-correct red Winchester ventilated recoil pad, yielding a comfortable 14.25-inch length of pull while softening 12-gauge recoil.

As a takedown model, the shotgun breaks quickly into barrel and receiver assemblies for compact storage. All major metal surfaces wear their original blued finish, now showing honest wear that matches the gun’s 107 years of service.
