The factory 16.12-inch chrome-moly steel barrel is fluted for weight reduction and threaded 1/2-28 UNEF, giving you immediate suppressor or muzzle-device compatibility. A 1:10 RH twist stabilizes common 9mm bullet weights, and the heavy profile aids accuracy during rapid strings.
Ruger’s takedown system—borrowed from the 10/22 TD—lets you separate the barrel assembly from the receiver with a simple twist, making transport and cleaning straightforward. When assembled, the full-length MIL-STD-1913 rail milled into the 7075-T6 aluminum receiver provides secure optics mounting without extra hardware.
The reversible side-charging handle and push-button magazine release accommodate right- or left-handed shooters. Inside, a tungsten dead-blow weight in the bolt dampens recoil impulse, keeping follow-up shots flat and controllable, especially when using the included high-capacity magazines.
The Monte Carlo-style glass-filled nylon stock features a soft rubber buttpad and a spacer system that adjusts the 13.25-inch length of pull. Integral sling mounts tie in smoothly with the provided two-point sling.
