The inertia-driven action runs clean and reliably without the need for a heavy gas system, keeping the shotgun light and easy to swing in the blind. Stoeger introduced this mechanism in 2001, making the Model 2000 the first budget-friendly platform to use the proven design.
Chromoly steel is used for the 28-inch barrel, giving it strength for consistent patterns with both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch magnum loads. The vent rib and red fiber-optic front bead promote quick target acquisition when birds flare unexpectedly.
A lightweight aluminum alloy receiver and synthetic stock help keep overall weight down, while the full Advantage Max-4 camo hydro-dip blends with marsh vegetation from buttstock to muzzle. Sling swivel studs and a soft recoil pad round out a field-ready package.
The receiver is drilled and tapped at the factory, offering the option to mount scope bases if desired for specialized hunting setups.
