Marlin Model 60 .22 LR Semi-Auto Rifle, 22" Barrel, 17-Shot Tube, 1988 Micro-Groove
Produced in 1988—the final year of the original 17-round tube magazine configuration—this Marlin Model 60 pairs a 22-inch carbon-steel barrel with Micro-Groove rifling and a walnut-finished hardwood stock. The combination delivers classic rimfire handling, reliable semi-automatic operation, and the accuracy that helped make the Model 60 one of the most widely owned .22 rifles ever built.

What’s Included
- Marlin Model 60 .22 LR semi-automatic rifle
The 22-inch carbon-steel barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove system with sixteen shallow lands, designed to increase bullet contact for improved accuracy with standard .22 LR loads.
This rifle retains the long 17-round tubular magazine that was discontinued after 1988, giving the shooter extended firing time between reloads while keeping the classic sleek fore-end profile.
The aluminum-alloy receiver is black anodized and features an integral 3/8-inch tip-off rail, allowing straightforward scope attachment without additional bases. A right-side charging handle and last-shot bolt hold-open aid in quick clearing and reloading.
Sighting is handled by a ramped hoodless front blade and a folding semi-buckhorn rear, backed up by a cross-bolt safety for simple, familiar controls. The Monte Carlo hardwood stock offers a 13.5-inch length of pull and a comfortable cheek weld.
Made in the USA and representing one of over 11 million Model 60s produced, this example stands out for its pre-1989 magazine capacity, crisp Micro-Groove bore, and solid overall condition.
