Built in the Czech Republic and imported by CZ-USA, this straight-blowback 9mm carbine features a cold-hammer-forged barrel, ambidextrous controls, and a highly modular design that was discontinued in 2023 in favor of the Scorpion 3+ line. With its folding, 3-position telescoping stock and reversible non-reciprocating charging handle, this example offers versatile handling in a package that remains compliant with U.S. 922(r) regulations.

The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Carbine is built around a 16.2 inch cold-hammer-forged steel barrel threaded 1/2-28 UNEF for easy muzzle device changes. The included muzzle brake tames recoil, and the 1:10 RH twist stabilizes a wide range of 9mm projectiles.
Ambidextrous magazine release and selector lever, along with an adjustable-reach pistol grip, let shooters tailor the controls to their preference. The non-reciprocating charging handle can be swapped to either side and accommodates the familiar HK-style “slap” to chamber the first round.
The lightweight, fiber-reinforced polymer receiver and M-LOK forend provide ample space for accessories while keeping overall weight down. A full-length Picatinny top rail runs from the charging handle to the rear sight, allowing straightforward mounting of optics or other rail-mounted devices.
The folding, three-position telescoping stock locks solidly open, adjusts for length of pull, and folds to the right to reduce the overall footprint for storage or transport. An integral sling loop and rubber butt-pad add practical comfort and carry options.
This serial-number-matching example retains the original CZ-USA Kansas City import marks and the “MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC” proof, underscoring its European manufacture. As production has shifted to the newer Scorpion 3+ line, clean S1 Carbines like this have become harder to find on the new market.
