Built on Winchester’s legendary Model 94 action, this carbine variant carries an 18.5-inch Winchester Proof Steel barrel, giving it classic saddle-ring proportions with modern commemorative appeal. The receiver, magazine tube, barrel bands, and saddle ring are plated in 24-karat gold, creating a striking contrast with the deep-blued barrel.
Factory roll engraving depicts key moments from Texas history, complemented by the gold-filled anniversary inscription on the barrel. A gold medallion featuring the sesquicentennial logo is inlaid into the right side of the straight-grip American walnut buttstock, which is checkered and finished in a smooth satin sheen to match the forearm.
Open sights include a brass-bead post up front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, maintaining the traditional Model 94 sight picture. The rifle retains its original external hammer, lever loop, and factory saddle ring, all finished to match the receiver.
With its serial prefix “TEX,” this limited-production commemorative lever gun represents a unique opportunity for collectors seeking a factory-original tribute to Texas history, complete with its branded display case.
